Youngstown Community Boating operates on the scenic lower Niagara River on the property of Youngstown Yacht Club. Of all the activities held at YYC, one of the most successful is unquestionably the Junior and Adult Sailing Programs. What began as a private club operation in the 1950’s has eventually evolved into diverse boating education programs that are open to the community.

Junior Sailing
Sailors aged 7-17 are instilled with a love of sailing, along with the fundamental sailing skills that they can build upon.
Adult Sailing
This is a 3 session course for adults who want to learn to sail independently or just learn the basics.

The mission of Youngstown Community Boating is to provide an opportunity for the Niagara River Region community to enjoy the waterfront by providing access and education for all. We will teach and promote the sport of sailing and boating to both youth and adult community members. Through safe, dynamic, and fun programs, the YCB aims to support all skill levels, from recreational boaters to serious competitors. The foundation and its programs are committed to fostering a lifelong love for sailing and boating with an emphasis on sportsmanship, teamwork, and an appreciation for the waterfront.
Kayak and SUP Rentals!
Youngstown Community Boating has expanded its offerings! In addition to sailing lessons will offer access to the lower Niagara River regardless of age, ability, or income. We will offer a variety of opportunities to enjoy the Niagara River through sailing, kayaking, and paddle boarding.
